If you've wondered when pro soccer gets a permanent downtown home, the target is 2028. The Omaha City Council approved the stadium lease Tuesday, and the Fremont Tribune says it approved a redevelopment agreement for a city-owned stadium that Union Omaha will lease long term.
WOWT reports the deal allows up to $106.5 million in financing for the stadium near 11th and Izard. Union Omaha says it's built for two teams, with a women's pro team targeted for 2030. KETV says crews plan to break ground next month.
- Stadium cost: about $140 million, owned by the city
- Seats: about 6,500 fixed, room for about 8,500

The club will begin accepting ticket deposits in late 2026, with details on seating and pricing to come. Nebraska Public Media puts the team's equity at $23 million.
