Rain comes and goes this week, but most of it should clear out before Halloween trick-or-treating
The Morning Omaha team
If you've got Halloween plans, there's good news in the forecast. Rain chances show up most of the week, but WOWT says most of Saturday's rain will be moving out by trick-or-treat time and by kickoff in Lincoln. KETV agrees, with the better shower chances coming in the morning.
Rain chances come in waves from Monday through Halloween
- Oct. 26Scattered light rain reaches the metro after sunset.
- Oct. 27Another round of light rain in the morning, mostly from Omaha south.
- Oct. 28Highs spike to the mid and upper 70s; cold front may bring evening showers.
- Oct. 30A few rounds of scattered rain and t-showers through the day.
- Oct. 31Rain chances in the morning; most should move out by trick-or-treat.
Wednesday is the warm day, with gusty southwest winds and a few rumbles of thunder possible along a cold front late. Looking ahead, WOWT says models show a low could develop next week, possibly with strong winds, rain and a drop in temperatures, which could affect your Election Day plans.
- Clocks go back one hour at 2 a.m. Sun., Nov. 1
- Sunday sunrise 6:55 a.m., sunset 5:18 p.m.
- Highs this week: 60s and 70s
