- ➤ Omaha and Council Bluffs honor a pioneer family from 1855 with parks donated by members of the Dodge family. Council Bluffs’ park began with a 1912 gift honoring Nathan P. - ➤ The University of Nebraska will cut $20 million more from its budget this year to fix a shortfall caused by lower state funding, tuition discount rules, and less money for research.
