- ➤ Good Threads launched today at 4115 S. 72nd St, offering free essential clothing and household items by appointment for families referred by local social service partners — the boutique doubles as a work experience center where high school students with disabilities learn retail and clerical skills. - ➤ South Omaha homeowner Christine Locke (70) could not meet a city repair order for a collapsed retaining wall until Marsh Creek Concrete and Crushing It donated $20K to complete the repair ahead of the Dec. 16 deadline. The repair now meets city code and relieves her financial burden. WOWT
- ➤ Omaha Latino leaders are urging residents to donate to the Lexington Community Relief Fund to help 3,212 employees who will lose jobs when the Tyson plant closes next & assist displaced families in Lexington. Omaha World-Herald
- ➤ More than 3,000 families have joined the Salvation Army's Adopt a Family program, but the agency says more help is needed to support local households. The organization invites community members to consider new ways to contribute + expand assistance for families in need. WOWT

- ➤ Omaha Public Power District will consider delaying its coal phaseout plan for North Omaha on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Omaha-Douglas Civic Center (staff and board debate reliability and affordability concerns) amid worries over health impacts. KETV
- ➤ Bellevue and Papillion approved plans on Tuesday to build housing that can resist extreme weather. Following the 2019 floods and after HUD marked Sarpy County as a planning priority, the roadmap (first-of-its-kind in Nebraska) will guide future developments in the two cities. KETV

- ➤ Today, Omaha City Council will review a redevelopment plan at Ernie Chambers Court—a historic site set for affordable housing with over $4 million requested in tax financing—and officials announced Cryer Swimming Pool will close permanently due to costly repairs with demolition planned for early next year.
