- ➤ Volunteers from Omaha began a 2,000-mile drive on Dec. 13 to deliver rescue dogs to West Coast families in time for Christmas. Operation Frodo is set to conclude on Dec. 17, with 85 dogs destined for new homes. WOWT

- ➤ The Omaha Jewish community gathered at Stinson Park on Sunday evening to mark Hanukkah amid increased security following an antisemitic attack in Australia that injured Rabbi Mendel Katzman's cousin (20-year-old Leibel Lazaroff).
