COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Eastern Nebraska Community Action Partnership announced a new partnership with Goodfellows to help more Sarpy County families in need this holiday season—this move will expand support for local residents as the season approaches.  Omaha World-Herald
  • Today, the Omaha EITC Coalition partnered with Bellevue University to expand free tax preparation services to Sarpy County — giving local residents a trusted resource for filing their taxes.  WOWT
  • An Omaha church delivered 200 Thanksgiving meals to local residents amid rising food insecurity—recipients said the support helped them through difficult times.  WOWT

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Bora Bora Juice will open a second Omaha store at 4002 North 203rd Street on the northeast corner of 204th — West Maple Road. The Kuwait-based chain serves juices, smoothies, coffee, waffles and crepes and also operates a location at 13110 Birch Drive.  Grow Omaha

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites local volunteers to help with December 2025 Commencement at Baxter Arena on Dec. 19 with ceremonies at 9 A.M. and 3 P.M.—volunteers must sign up by Dec. 12 to receive follow-up details.  University of Nebraska Omaha
  • UNO is repairing the Weber Fine Arts Building as water leaks from damaged skylights affect the foyer and staircase—students have observed drops during classes. The work is managed by a different contractor than the floor repairs and will continue as materials arrive and weather permits.  The Gateway

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Omaha is partnering with Ollie the Trolley to run free trolleys along the planned streetcar route so riders can preview future stops in areas still under construction. The service will run Saturday, November 29 from 3-8 p.m. — and will also offer discounted parking at select garages to support local businesses.  WOWT

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Despite mild weather on Sunday, Omaha residents laced up their skates and took advantage of bright, sunny skies at local rinks—enjoying a spirited winter outing. This fun community activity added a seasonal twist to the weekend.  WOWT

  • Last Sunday, the Omaha Supernovas held a day-long volleyball clinic at the new Kearney Sportsplex where former Nebraska Cornhusker Merritt Beason and former Creighton Bluejay Allison Holder coached age-based sessions for young athletes—each session ended with an autograph signing.  WOWT
