BUSINESS NEWS

  • More than 200 local vendors are counting on the Omaha Holiday Boutique to deliver the crucial sales they need this weekend — the event is expected to boost local business earnings.  WOWT
  • Curry in a Hurry moved its food truck to 221 Main Street in Olde Towne Bellevue and will serve a limited menu with chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, bowls, wraps, and kabobs. The restaurant keeps its main dining service at 2527 North 72nd Street.  Grow Omaha
  • Copal Mexican Cuisine, a family-owned restaurant in Omaha, will close its North 129th Street location on November 30—after serving the community for five years; its Lincoln branch at Pioneers Boulevard will continue to operate.  Grow Omaha

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On Nov. 16, 1900, the cornerstone was laid for Omaha Central High School, marking the start of a school that began in 1859. The school has grown over the years with renovations like a 2019 arts and library addition—its old building was torn down in 1970 to create a courtyard—showing its long history.  WOWT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn held his 24th town hall in South Omaha on Sunday, answering questions on term limits and immigration + he supported a wealth tax and right-to-repair laws to keep markets fair + his remarks mark a shift in his campaign messaging.  KETV
  • A federal ban on hemp-derived THC products is expected soon — an Omaha lawmaker who once tried banning these items said the move might work — leaving local hemp farmers worried about their future.  Omaha World-Herald

SPORTS NEWS

  • At Sanford Pentagon, Nebraska's women beat North Dakota State 82-70 as the Huskers rallied from behind with strong play led by Amiah Hargrove and Britt Prince — key moments that sealed the win.  KETV
