- ➤ UNO Greek organizations held a domestic violence awareness walk Saturday at Baxter Arena to highlight the growing issue in Omaha. About 100 people joined the walk—raising over $1,000 for the Women’s Center for Advancement and showing strong community support. WOWT
- ➤ On Saturday, Methodist Hospital hosted a classic car show on its top parking garage so patients in both towers could admire a variety of vintage vehicles. Car enthusiasts displayed both original and restored models and started the event this year to bring joy to patients. KETV

- ➤ This week, Mutual of Omaha updated on its downtown headquarters project when the tower crane completed its sixth jump—reaching 780 feet as final vertical concrete work was completed and interior work began through level 21. - ➤ University of Nebraska at Omaha’s The Gateway earned fourth place in a national college media contest for its fall report on a student agency losing funding after a sex toy prize basket was purchased. - ➤ Omaha men's and women's swimming and diving teams won meets against St. Thomas at Anderson Pool in St. Paul on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18—each earning their fourth straight victory. - ➤ Senior forward Rienk Mast returned from knee surgery and scored a game-high 31 points on 7-of-8 three-pointers to lead Nebraska to a 90-89 exhibition upset over No-8 BYU at Pinnacle Bank Arena last Saturday. The Huskers shot 50 percent overall and will host Midland University in an exhibition on Oct-27 at 6:30 p.m. WOWT
- ➤ On Saturday, Omaha Volleyball lost to Denver 3-1 as Denver won three sets while the Mavericks recorded 14 blocks and senior Kali Jurgensmeier tallied 15 kills.
