- ➤ Baker's Supermarkets announced plans for two new grocery stores in the Elkhorn area of Omaha—one a larger marketplace at 5010 S. 205th St. with groundbreaking set for September 19 and an opening in 2026, and the other a standard store at 182nd Street and West Maple Road with no opening date yet. - ➤ An anonymous donor has provided $1 million through the Greater Omaha Chamber to support 50-60 small businesses west of Turner Boulevard on Farnam Street that have seen sales drop due to ongoing streetcar construction.
