ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ An accident caused a house fire near 21st and Arbor streets in South Omaha Saturday night, and the Omaha Fire Department responded just before 10:45 p.m. to quickly extinguish the blaze with no injuries, as a work light placed too close to combustibles triggered the fire & damages are estimated at $18,500 while no one was home. - ➤ Two people were arrested in Omaha for a fatal stabbing that happened Thursday night — authorities identified the victim. WOWT

- ➤ Habitat for Humanity is planning to build 27 new homes on vacant lots near 26th & Corby in north Omaha, adjacent to the fleet maintenance facility. The for-sale units range from 2 to 4 bedrooms with an average value of $230,000, and construction will begin this October and finish by August 2026 after a $1.7 million TIF is applied to support the $7 million project.
