- ➤ This September during Omaha Restaurant Week, restaurants will offer discounted three-course dinners and donate a portion of sales to Food Bank for the Heartland—helping fight food insecurity that now affects 1 in 7 people and 1 in 5 children as rates have increased 50% since 2023. KETV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Eudis Cuéllar Martínez helped Omaha police with a human trafficking investigation but was later arrested when ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) detained him on Aug. 12, and he now faces a deportation hearing on Friday, September 5th with his dropped drug charge adding to his troubles. - ➤ Omaha Performing Arts runs a monthly lottery program that gives students, veterans and other locals free or low-cost access to shows — using unused ticket inventory to bring community members into local events.
