- ➤ Today, CLAAS Omaha Inc. broke ground on a 44,800 square foot research and development facility that will create jobs in construction, agriculture, engineering * and research to boost Omaha's workforce. The facility is set to be completed next fall with the company moving in at the end of 2026 followed by a grand opening. WOWT

- ➤ An Omaha juvenile—charged as an adult for murder after killing his mother's abusive boyfriend—pleaded no contest to manslaughter in juvenile court and was sentenced to indefinite probation after his court appearance was canceled. WOWT

- ➤ RentCafe projects over 500,000 new apartment units will open nationwide by year’s end and Omaha will have 3,335 new units in 2025, a 79% jump from last year. The city ranks 7th nationally for year-over-year increases in apartment openings—showing strong local growth in construction. Grow Omaha

- ➤ Nebraska Supreme Court Justice Lindsey Miller-Lerman, the first woman appointed to the high court, announced she will retire at the end of October after decades of service—Gov.
