- ➤ Omaha police arrested a man aged 37—he was linked to the 2019 killing of a woman aged 41 in west Omaha. Omaha World-Herald
- ➤ Early Wednesday, Nebraska State Patrol and Omaha Police—supported by a helicopter—pursued a speeding car that repeatedly crossed the Missouri River until stop sticks on I-480 near 14th Street forced the driver and a passenger into custody. KFAB
- ➤ A LendingTree study ranked Omaha first for DUI charges as 4.5 per 1,000 residents were charged—this rate is nearly 10 times higher than in Chicago, with San Jose and Sacramento following closely in the rankings. KIOS

- ➤ Deborah Watts, a cousin of Emmett Till, returned to North 29th Street in Omaha today to honor her childhood memories and lead the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation’s efforts to mark his 70th anniversary with educational events—ensuring that his story remains a vital part of the community’s history.
