At its Aug. 18 meeting, the Omaha Streetcar Authority board approved two change orders—$114,227 for Sampson Construction to modify the maintenance facility and $69,473.11 for Sadler Electric to protect a water line—while Interim Director Rick Gustafson reported that construction will begin in January with design work completed and proposals due by Sept. 10. The project spent about $5M in July and remains on budget, and public comment raised concerns about bond funds and affordable housing.

The Papio Missouri River Natural Resources District is selling 3.6 acres of surplus property in north Omaha to inCommon Housing Development for $53,837.

The three parcels are located near Military Avenue & Hamilton Street next to the under construction Beltline trailhead where inCommon plans to create rental and for sale housing and public green space.
