- ➤ In Papillion, veteran John Jones at Hillcrest Country Estates Grand Lodge is leading a 5.0-mile march on Saturday—lasting five hours with breaks—to help veterans facing mental health challenges and homelessness. Dozens of local walkers who are veterans or spouses have trained for months to join the event. KETV
- ➤ City officials say illegal dumping continues at Spring Lake Park in South Omaha where trash, tires, and unwanted items have piled up despite occasional cleanup efforts. The South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance will begin door knocking and apply for grants to get more residents involved in cleaning up the park—aiming to restore its beauty. WOWT

- ➤ An adult man was taken to the hospital with a serious cutting wound near 30th and Cass in Midtown Omaha Saturday afternoon — police said there is no ongoing threat and no suspect in the incident. WOWT

- ➤ On Friday, Lincoln neurosurgeon Dr. Jeremy Hosein, a former UNMC student regent, announced he is running for the open District 1 seat on the University of Nebraska Board of Regents to help guide NU through challenges with AI and finances.
