Rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park are searching for a 23-year-old man from Omaha who was last seen near Upper Beaver Meadows at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday, August 7—he was dropped off by a ride share service while wearing dark clothing and carrying a maroon daypack.
On Tuesday just before midnight, a suspect robbed a person at gunpoint near 46th and Izard streets in Omaha—Douglas County officials said the suspect hit the victim who was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and police are searching for him.

At the Nebraska Broadcasters Awards, Omaha's News Leader brought home hardware as KETV earned top honors for Best Election Coverage and Best on Scene Sports Reporting while Madison Perales won gold for Best Multimedia Journalism, Sean Everson received Best Weathercast, and Julie Cornell with photojournalist Tyler Wilson earned the Service to Children award for their 'Parents Wanted' story—thanks to strong local support.
