- ➤ Mayor John Ewing announced a $40 million bond plan on Aug. 1 to fund affordable housing along the streetcar corridor by using bonds purchased by an anonymous donor—repayment will come from tax-increment funds over 15 years. City officials say that if the City Council approves the plan next month, construction on both affordable and workforce housing may begin in 2026. Omaha World-Herald
- ➤ Mayor John Ewing announced a plan that will use $40 million in bonds to build affordable housing in the urban core starting as early as 2026.
