- ➤ Two people died and three were taken to hospital after an early Friday crash on Interstate 480 in Omaha — a man from Percival, Iowa was arrested on July 2 following a road rage incident in which he allegedly threw a steel pickup hitch ball through a semi truck's window. WOWT
- ➤ On Friday, a pickup traveling the wrong way on I-480 near 14th Street struck a sedan nearly head-on, causing the car to catch fire and killing two people while injuring two teen girls and two pickup occupants—police charged 22-year-old Christian Stephens and are investigating alcohol as a factor. - ➤ On Friday, Cortney Hansen, 45, appeared in court and was charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person—she was arrested after police responded on July 4 when 54-year-old Robert Allen was found dead in South Omaha at about 11:49 a.m. WOWT
- ➤ Omaha police arrested two men—23-year-old Cain Tapia and 21-year-old Alan Torres-Guerrero—on multiple drug and gun charges tied to an ongoing narcotics investigation; bonds were set at $5 million and the men will appear in court on Aug. 18. KETV
