- ➤ Omaha fire crews arrived near 148th and Edna just before 11 p.m. Sunday night to put out a Chalco house fire that seriously injured one person—crews quickly extinguished the flames and officials are investigating the cause. KETV

- ➤ Officials at Eppley Airfield said the airport is ready for about 84,000 passengers this Independence Day holiday — a 3.7% rise over last year — with the busiest travel days on July 2 and July 6; travelers should arrive two hours early so they can complete parking, check-in and security at the new split terminals.
