- ➤ Early Tuesday morning, officers with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office clocked a Honda Civic at 98 MPH in a 55 MPH zone near 144th and West Dodge Road in west Omaha and arrested driver Roman Pereira-Coc for felony DUI — his blood alcohol level was .216 and he faces a third DUI charge. KFAB

- ➤ Omaha City Council approved the final plat for Civic Square Tuesday, setting plans to convert the old civic auditorium site into a mixed-use area with retail, affordable housing and a grocery store between 17th and 19th streets and Chicago and Capitol. Developers reported $2.7 million in infrastructure contracts will start work this year and be finished by late spring or early summer—enhancing local ties with a planned collegiate extension near Creighton.
