GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On May 27, the ACLU of Nebraska held a mayoral pardons clinic at the Heartland Workers Center where residents met with attorneys to review past ordinance violations and discuss legal options (organized by Schmeeka Simpson); 26 people attended, and several learned they did not qualify for a pardon. - ➤ Workers are pouring concrete today for the Farnam Street bridge deck in Omaha as part of an ongoing local project. The work is closely monitored to ensure steady progress. Omaha World-Herald
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Cars & Cures returns this Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Victory Lane Omaha, expanding to 200 cars plus a showcase of Jeff Gordon's 2002 winning car (Beetlejuice) to support local cancer patients.
