  • Today, a former potato chip factory in South Omaha reopens as Clover24, a creative workspace where over 150 local artists can display their work.   • UNO Chancellor Emeritus John E. Christensen, an Omaha native who served the university for over 40 years, died May 28 at age 76. University leaders praised his work and legacy — memorial services will be held at Baxter Arena on June 4 at 10 a.m.  University of Nebraska Omaha

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Nebraska lawmakers passed LB 89 that will require student-athletes to play on teams based on the sex they were born with—matching the rule with those in over two dozen other states. Governor Pillen said he will sign the bill, and all 245 school districts and colleges must soon adopt the new rule.  Nebraska Examiner
