- ➤ Taste of Omaha will hold its 29th festival this weekend in the Old Market despite streetcar construction complicating parking and travel. Festival director Mike Mancuso said extra parking at Gallup (near Riverfront Drive) should help as more than 80,000 visitors are expected. WOWT
- ➤ Volunteers are needed to help clean and maintain local parks including Gene Leahy Park and the riverfront — public-private partnerships support the effort. Organizers say additional details on times and sign-up options will be shared soon. WOWT
- ➤ A fundraising drive is underway to revive the Statue of Liberty replica at Turner Park, with Scouting America hosting its own coin drive (details on donation points are pending). WOWT
