- ➤ This Memorial Day weekend, Omaha hosts a variety of free events across the metro as Memorial Park features live entertainment, a 400-drone show, and the world's largest American flag ceremony on Friday, while local venues offer pancake breakfasts and markets from Friday through Monday. WOWT

- ➤ Drybar will open a blowout salon this fall at Village Pointe Shopping Center — immediately north of Early Bird restaurant. It will be Drybar’s second Omaha spot after its location at Regency Shopping Center near Borsheims. Grow Omaha
- ➤ The Capital Grille will build its first Nebraska restaurant on a 1.9-acre lot at 14500 Branch Street in west Omaha, planning a 9,144 sqft building near Carson Group and Union Bank. The building permit was filed yesterday for the prime steakhouse chain founded in 1990. Grow Omaha
