- ➤ In 2023, the 26-foot 'Embracing Peace' statue arrived at Memorial Park to mark the park’s 75th anniversary. The sculpture, which shows a Navy sailor kissing a nurse, came from New Jersey to honor America’s World War II victory. WOWT
- ➤ Omaha’s South 24th Street corridor will host the annual Cinco de Mayo festival with live music, food, rides, and booths. Organizers said the event, themed around family (aiming to boost local business), will feature a kickoff concert next weekend. KETV
