- ➤ Omaha man Dio'vani Vinston suffered third-degree burns while working on his truck when water mixed with gasoline ignited a large fire, and he rushed to warn his neighbor while covered in flames—he has had three surgeries, is now hospitalized, and his family is asking for help with rising medical bills. - ➤ Fire crews responded to an apartment fire near 25th and H streets in South Omaha at 6 a.m. Saturday, quickly extinguishing smoke from one unit and displacing residents when a space heater placed too near common combustibles sparked the blaze (damages estimated at $61,000). WOWT

- ➤ Construction began on a new Twin Peaks restaurant at 313 North 179th Street in Village Pointe West in West Omaha, with an 8,000 sq. ft. building scheduled to open in November 2025— the site is just east of Home2 Suites Hotel.
