  • Early Monday near 24th and Saratoga streets, Omaha fire crews fought a blaze that burned the garage to the ground — no injuries were reported as investigators examined the cause.  KETV

  • Omaha police are searching for a suspect after a fight at Bogie's Bar and Grill led to a stabbing that injured three men—one 39-year-old man was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, a 41-year-old man suffered serious injuries, and a 69-year-old man declined treatment.  KETV
  • An Omaha couple has waited over four months for new siding after paying a $7,500 deposit to Honey Do Roofing—whose owner said his business is closed and promised a refund—and filed a police report for alleged fraud as woodpeckers damage their home daily.  WOWT

  • The old Caniglia Dry Goods store in Little Italy is now a museum that preserves the stories of Sicilian immigrants and shows how families once gathered for meals and helped each other—91-year-old Josephine Canaglia-Lohmeier recalls how everyone in the neighborhood cared for one another.  KETV

  • All Saints School received a $2,500 Cash in for Schools award from Thrasher Foundation — delivered by KETV — to replace its unreliable oven and serve healthier, warm meals to more than 150 kids. Nearly 160 students, all eligible for free or reduced lunch, will benefit from the improvement.  KETV

  • Legendary Creighton volleyball coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth discussed her decision to step down from coaching during a press conference Monday morning — the university also introduced Brian Rosen as the fourth head coach in the program's history.  KETV
  • On Monday, longtime Creighton volleyball coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth stepped down after 22 seasons to join League One Volleyball in an administrative role — she ended her career with a 502-192 record. Brian Rosen, who contributed to 88 team wins as both assistant and associate head coach, was introduced as her replacement.  WOWT
