- ➤ Flower Child plans to open its first Nebraska location in late June at 120 Regency Parkway on the north side of Regency Shopping Center (next to Bonefish Grill and Borsheims). The 5,002 sqft building will feature a covered outdoor patio for diners. Grow Omaha
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Grammy-nominated pop star Benson Boone will perform at CHI Health Center in Omaha on Sept. 1 as part of his 'Wanted Man' tour, and tickets go on presale April 1 at 11 a.m. + general sale starts April 3 at 11 a.m. WOWT
- ➤ Local artists were chosen from 242 applicants to create a new art collection at the Omaha Public Library, which will be open to the public on April 19. The collection represents a $1.3 million philanthropic investment funded entirely by private donations. WOWT
- ➤ Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens placed third in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Botanical Garden — experts selected 20 finalists before public voting narrowed the field. The garden improved its ranking from fifth last year, reflecting its growing recognition. Grow Omaha
- ➤ The new Omaha Central Library will open on April 19 at 72nd and Dodge Streets and will showcase 16 pieces of art created for the building. Omaha World-Herald
