- ➤ An Omaha man who drove the car in the fatal drive-by shooting of a young mother faces up to 20 years in prison after reaching a plea agreement with Douglas authorities. Omaha World-Herald
- ➤ Omaha police are asking for help to identify a suspect involved in an armed robbery near 24th and Leavenworth on Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. when a driver was robbed at gunpoint of $20 and a small baggie of marijuana, with Issziah Reath already arrested on accessory charges and his partner — seen wearing a stocking cap with the Scream logo — remaining at large. - ➤ Omaha police responded to a shooting near North 52nd and Pinkney Street at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and found two victims—15-year-old Shalamar Davis, Jr. died at Nebraska Medicine while officers searched for the gunman who fled before units arrived. WOWT

- ➤ Douglas County Treasurer John Ewing reminded Omaha residents that they must pay the first half of their property taxes by midnight on Monday, March 31 to avoid penalties—payments can be made in person, by mail with a valid U.S. Postal Service postmark, drop box, or online. WOWT
- ➤ Hasani Lee, the son of a disabled veteran and former tenant, represented himself in a hearing on Wednesday and claimed the housing authority retaliated by calling the police and issuing an eviction notice after he complained about conditions at Underwood Tower; he submitted 100 pages of exhibits and the judge is taking time to review the evidence. Mike Flood said he is seeking answers about staffing challenges at the National Weather Service after officials suspended weather balloon releases in Omaha and Rapid City due to a lack of staff.
