- ➤ The U.S. Drought Monitor shows worsening drought conditions as northeast Nebraska enters the red zone for the fifth week, with Omaha receiving only 14% of its normal moisture in the past six months. - ➤ Crews have begun installing the steel structure to support the Mutual of Omaha tower's crown, advancing topping out for the 677 ft (44-story) building at the block bounded by 14th, 15th, Douglas and Farnam streets.
