- ➤ Live Well Dress Well is hosting a pop-up at a local restaurant where donated professional clothing is available and will hold job fairs every three months beginning in June to support residents in their job search. WOWT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Bob Siemer, a 70-year-old heart disease survivor, overcame doctors’ predictions at Christ Hospital when Dr. Jarrod Frizzell performed an innovative stent procedure using electrocautery to restore blood flow without reopening his chest. Siemer has done well after three major heart surgeries and even went hiking one week later. KETV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Omaha Skutt Catholic junior Ben Ziola won his third Class B150 state wrestling title yesterday after previously winning at 126 and 106, and several local high schools earned state titles in other weight classes. WOWT
- ➤ Kiernan Meink of Millard South secured the Class A138 state championship on Feb. 22, finishing a high school career with three titles + several local athletes also captured state wins from Plattsmouth and Creighton Prep. WOWT
- ➤ Senior wrestler Zaiyahn Ornelas ended his career by earning his fourth state championship with Creighton Prep, becoming Nebraska’s 39th four-time champion after winning three titles at Wilber-Clatonia before joining the Jr. Jays. WOWT
- ➤ State wrestling finals on Feb. 22 awarded state titles. Omaha teenagers, junior Khy'ree Thomas-Calloway of Omaha Bryan — who medaled earlier — and freshman Terence Crawford Jr. of Omaha North each claimed their first state championship. WOWT
