- ➤ Beer Can Alley is closing its doors for one final night of fun today in Omaha's Capitol District after eight years of service (marking an end to a beloved gathering spot) and will reopen with a new venue concept scheduled for March. 3 News Now

- ➤ The UNO Amateur Radio Club held its first meeting on Jan.29 at the university with nine students and two advisors and plans to finalize official registration soon. The club received a donation ($500) for snacks and will offer radio activities and help with licensing. The Gateway
- ➤ Divine Shepherd Church hosted its 24th annual chili cookoff and silent auction on Jan. 30 to raise funds for Little Lamb Preschool + Child Care expansion. Pastor Brent Smith said the funds will help add three infant rooms plus areas for preschoolers and toddlers this spring to meet growing demand. KETV

- ➤ Former Omaha State Sen. Brett Lindstrom paused his campaign for the GOP primary in Nebraska’s 2nd District, saying he now finds the political climate too divisive. He added he would continue supporting local politics behind the scenes. WOWT
- ➤ The Nebraska Public Service Commission is asking producers and landowners owed money by the bankrupt Omaha grain company to submit claims by (deadline Feb.6) to seek potential compensation. Omaha World-Herald
