About this event
What do we owe individuals and communities in the name of justice? Who is responsible for ensuring justice in healthcare? Having expanded beyond the clinician-patient relationship,
contemporary clinical medical ethics examines how social determinants, institutions, and policies inform who has access to care and which health outcomes are considered just. This ethics grand rounds brings together an emergency medicine physician, a clinical-religious ethicist, a county public health official, and a public health professor to explore how individuals and institutions contribute to inequalities and inequities in healthcare and consider what it would take to promote just healthcare outcomes.
